- I am about to paint a wall in my study. There are a lot of holes in the wall. What should I do?
Prior to painting on the surface fill all holes with a good quality filler. Sand the surface once the filler has dried to get a smooth, even surface. You will need to apply an undercoat before painting to ensure the treated areas are not visible.

- The wall I wish to paint has a previous coating. Will the new paint stick?
For previously painted surfaces, clean the area thoroughly with sugar soap as per manufacturers directions. If required, remove peeling or flaking paint and sand uneven surfaces until smooth. For gloss enamel paints you will need to sand the surface to produce a key for the paint to stick to.

- I have finished painting and noticed a small amount has spilt onto my couch, and dried. How can I remove it?
As all our paints are water based, you can try using warm water with a little detergent. If this doesn't remove the paint, you can try dissolve the paint with a mild mixture of methylated spirits and water.

- After painting several bubbles have appeared on the wall. How do I solve this problem?
There are a few possible causes for this problem. Painting onto a surface that is to hot or contains too much moisture can cause blisters to appear. Also moisture escaping through the wall can create blisters. You will need to check the wall to ensure there is no moisture coming through the surface. If there is, repair the problem and scrape away blisters and sand the surface smooth. Ensure the surface is thoroughly dry and only apply if the surface is not too hot. If the problem continues to occur, contact our support line for further assistance.

- My wall appears to be darker in the corners and around the edges. Why has this happened?
The most likely cause of this problem is that you have applied the paint at a heavier spread rate with the brush than you did with the roller. Make sure when you paint the edges of a room, you apply the paint at the same spread rate as the roller.

- Will temperature make a difference when I am painting?
It is best to apply paint in a well ventilated area when the weather conditions are 25 degrees celcius and humidity is at 50%. Do not apply paint if rain is expected in the next 12 hours. Lower temperatures and higher humidity can increase drying times and cause problems with paint curing. This can result in blisters, peeling or flaking.

- I am painting a old house and some mould has grown in one of the corners. Do I need to remove this before painting?
You will need to treat the affected area with a mixture of bleach and water. (1 part bleach to 3 parts water) Once the mould is removed you should treat the area with a anti-mould solution to prevent any re-growth. Ensure the surface is completely dry and you will be able to paint the surface.
